Patriots fan gets stiff sentence from judge after repeatedly caught driving

A Village of Mallory Square New England Patriots fan has been sentenced to serious jail time after repeatedly violating her probation.

Whitney Elyse Marquette, 37, was taken into custody on Sept. 23 at a home at 615 Mullins Path on a warrant charging her with violating her probation.

She was sentenced on Oct. 24 by Judge Paul Militello in Sumter County Court to six months in jail. She has also been ordered to take part in DWI School and seek alcohol treatment.

Whitney Marquette has landed behind bars five times this year.

The California native had been placed on probation in March after she pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident

She had been wearing a Tom Brady jersey when she was arrested Jan. 21 at her home in the Village of Mallory Square. A short time earlier, her SUV had been involved in an accident at a roundabout in The Villages. She refused a breath test.

While free on bond, she was arrested again in a seat-switching incident on March 5 in Lady Lake.

She was arrested twice more in August when she was caught back behind the wheel sipping a Yuengling beer and then again when her blue SUV was spotted on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Buenos Aires Boulevard.
