Lady Lake man arrested after breaking into parents’ home, stealing food

Justin Lee Freeman

A Lady Lake man was arrested after breaking into his parents’ home and stealing food.

The father of 28-year-old Justin Lee Freeman called law enforcement Monday after he had learned from his wife that their son had shown up at their home in Fruitland Park.

Freeman climbed through a window and went to the kitchen where he took food and drinks out of the refrigerator, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Freeman’s mother repeatedly told her son to leave the home, but he refused to do so.

He was arrested on charges of burglary, petit theft and criminal mischief. He was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $6,000.

Freeman had been arrested earlier this month by Lady Lake police after he was spotted shining a flashlight in the windows of homes.
