Convicted child molester takes up temporary residence in Haciendas of Mission Hills

A convicted child molester from Indiana has taken up temporary residence in the Haciendas of Mission Hills.

Michael Matheus, 56, on Wednesday registered a temporary address at 586 D’Angelo Lane, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

He was convicted on Nov. 3, 2003 of child molestation in Monroe County in Indiana.

He is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Matheus also paid a visit over the holidays last year to The Villages.
