A woman who had been attempting to pick up a child at Fruitland Park Elementary School on Tuesday, found herself behind bars after she was caught driving on a suspended license.

Vanessa Irene Connell, 29, of Summerfield, had been attempting to pick up the child when Fruitland Park police received a tip that Connell was driving a truck with a ladder in the back. An officer was able to stop the truck at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Dixie Avenue. The officer confirmed that Connell’s license had been suspended for failure to pay financial obligations. It was her third arrest for driving on a suspended license.

She was booked at the Lake County Jail on $5,000 bond.

She had been arrested earlier this year on a drug  charge. You can read about that HERE
