A Villager’s 38-year-old son was arrested Tuesday morning after a beer run at Circle K on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Keith Barnum of 730 Roseapple Ave. had been released Sunday from the Lake County Jail after serving 10 days for offenses in the same vicinity. On Tuesday morning, he returned to Circle K and left with a four-pack of Natural Ice Beer for which he had not paid, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

An employee recognized Barnum from a previous incident in which he had been trespassed from the service station. You can read about that arrest HERE. You can read about his recent sentencing HERE.

After viewing surveillance video, police went to Barnum’s residence. He admitted to stealing the beer.

He now faces new charges of retail theft and trespassing. He was booked on $1,500 bond at the Lake County Jail.
