A 51-year-old Village of Rio Ponderosa woman was arrested Sunday night on a charge of driving under the influence.

Michele Ludwig had been at the wheel of a golf cart at 11:30 p.m. when she drove over a planter in a parking lot in Spanish Springs, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A police officer noticed the golf cart was “all over the road,” and “swaying back and forth,” the report indicated.

The officer initiated a traffic stop on the golf cart as Ludwig was pushing the button at the Del Mar Gate.

She failed field sobriety exercises. She provided breath samples that registered .210 and .203 blood alcohol content.

She told the officer she had consumed two beers and a 32-ounce Vodka and 7-Up.

She was booked on a charge of driving under the influence at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $3,000 bond.

Last year, Ludwig had to be tasered during the investigation of a traffic accident. You can read about that incident HERE
