A 20-year-old Wildwood man has been charged with causing more than $500 in damage to a Sumter County Sheriff’s Office patrol car.

Christopher Lee Sesler was being taken into custody on a probation violation Wednesday afternoon when he abruptly slammed his head against a pillar in the patrol vehicle. While he was seated in the rear of the patrol car, he continued to use his head to strike the plastic partition in the vehicle.

Damage to the patrol vehicle was estimated to be $546.

Sesler, who was arrested earlier this year after a dispute with dog walkers, was booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
