Zachary Thomas Walters, a lifelong resident of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on March 11, 2018 due to complications from a motor vehicle accident at the age of 22.
He is survived by his parents, Fran & Eric Juris and Greg & Rhonda Walters. Siblings: Gregory, Amanda (Shane), Brittany, & Bradyn. Grandparents: Lou Huber, Terry & Carol Washburn, and Larry & Lynn Muldrow. Aunts, Uncles, Niece, Nephew, cousins and friends. Longtime Girlfriend, Sidney Williams. He is predeceased by Grandfather, Bill Huber.
Zachary, also known as Ziggy, was born in Leesburg to Greg and Fran on June 27, 1995. He had a love for animals just as his mom did. He grew up playing sports such as soccer, baseball, basketball and football. He eventually followed his best friend and big brother’s love for the game of baseball. Later following and surpassing his dad in softball.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, from going to the beach, to playing ball, to fishing, and any and everything with Sidney by his side.
Ziggy also had another love in his life. For the past 5 plus years he has made Sidney his entire world. He had a love for her that some could only wish for. If any two people were meant to be, it was these two for sure.
Zach was a beautiful spirit with a huge heart who enjoyed life. No matter where or what he was doing, he brought joy to everyone. His contagious smile was brighter than any ray of sunshine could ever hope to be.
Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Beyers Funeral Home 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748. There will be a viewing for family and friends from 12 – 12:45 with services starting at 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery 306 Thomas Avenue, Leesburg, Florida 34748.
