A woman with a car full of wine bottles was arrested at the Village of Hemingway swimming pool.
Cassie Anne Geer, 40, who lives on Bartlet Lane in the Village of Hemingway, was found at 8:43 p.m. Thursday at the wheel of a running vehicle parked at the pool, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Her pants were down to her upper thighs and she had a towel covering herself up, the report indicated. There were 25 Sutter Home brand 187 ml wine bottles on the passenger seat and floorboard. Ten more empty bottles were discovered in the trunk.
She failed field sobriety exercises and refused to provide a breath sample.
She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
