Woman walks out wearing stolen hoodie at Wal-Mart in Summerfield

A woman reportedly stole a hoodie on Wednesday at Wal-Mart in Summerfield.

A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the Wal-Mart located on 17961 South Hwy. 441 in reference to a retail petit theft, according to an incident report. Upon his arrival, the deputy made contact with the store’s loss prevention officer who advised that an unknown white female entered the store and stole a black zip-up hoodie. The loss prevention officer stated that the woman went into the aisle where the jackets were and tried one on. She then grabbed a few other items and went to the self-checkout line and paid for the items. However, she left the hoodie on and did not pay for it. The woman passed all points of sale and fled on foot to a vehicle parked in the parking lot.
