Woman with marijuana arrested after traffic stop for inoperable headlight on Morse Boulevard

Makayla Eileen Keller

A woman with marijuana was arrested after a traffic stop for an inoperable headlight Wednesday night on Morse Boulevard.

Makayla Eileen Keller, 21, of Wildwood, had been at the wheel of a tan Dodge Stratus at about 7:19 p.m. when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy spotted one of the vehicle’s headlight was inoperable.

It appeared Keller had stuffed a bag down her shirt, according to the arrest report. During the traffic stop, Keller handed the bag over to the deputy. It contained less than 20 grams of marijuana. A metal grinder was found in the center console of the vehicle.

Keller was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment. She was also issued a written warning for the inoperable headlight.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
