A 32-year-old woman with heroin was arrested after she allegedly attempted to steal a pair of flip flops Tuesday afternoon at Beall’s.
Charlott Sue Morris of Ocklawaha attempted to leave the store on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake with the flip flops and shirt tucked in her purse, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
She admitted to a deputy she had tried to take the items and said she was “being stupid.” She also indicated she had a syringe that contained heroin.
She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $3,500.
