A woman in a golf cart suffered a head injury Wednesday morning after crashing into the side of a pickup truck towing a trailer.
The accident occurred at about 9 a.m. at the intersection of Woodridge Drive and County Road 103, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The golf cart had stopped at a stop sign but then proceeded into the intersection and collided with the truck.
The woman was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. She was cited for improper road usage and careless driving.
A motorcyclist was airlifted from the scene of an accident this past November in that same area.
