Woman claiming to be waiting for Uber arrested at patio area of Wendy’s in The Villages

A woman who claimed to be waiting for an Uber was arrested last week at the patio area of Wendy’s in The Villages.

Lady Lake police were checking out three suspicious people who walked on June 17 from Home Depot to Perkins restaurant to Wendy’s at 1011 Bichara Boulevard.

One member of the trio, 48-year-old Michelle Diane Blackwelder of Ocala, was found to be wanted on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of retail petit theft.

She was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $1,000 bond.
