A woman arrested last week in Wildwood when she was found to have syringes tucked into a Calvin Klein purse.

Alexis Anne Head, 37, of Panama City Beach, had been driving a Kia Soul at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on South Main Street in Wildwood when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy ran the vehicle’s license plate and discovered it had reportedly been stolen in Lake County.

During a traffic stop, the deputy further determined that Head’s license was suspended and has three previous convictions for driving on a suspended license, two of them in Marion County.

A Calvin Klein purse was found tucked in the inside pocket of the driver’s door. It contained three syringes, according to an arrest report. A spoon was found in the center console of the vehicle. A Buprenorphine Hydrochloride 8mg pill was found in the vehicle along with a blue straw with a white powdery residue, and two small baggies containing a crystal like substance.

Head was arrested on charges of heroin possession, possession of drug equipment and driving on a suspended license.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
