A woman was arrested after allegedly throwing a can of soda at a 67-year-old man “out of frustration” on Tuesday in Belleview.
Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence located on SE 129th Lane in reference to a domestic altercation, according to an arrest report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim who advised that 30-year-old Angela Marie Gibson arrived at the residence at 4 a.m. and began to knock on his bedroom door. After the victim refused to let her in, Gibson began to make a lot of noise inside of the residence and used lacquer paint inside of the bathroom, leaving a strong odor. The victim grew upset since his stepson has asthma and confronted Gibson about using the lacquer paint. Gibson became irate and began to scream and yell. The victim decided to leave the residence and walk outside. Gibson then threw a half full soda can at him, striking him in the right back shoulder region.
The victim’s shirt was saturated with soda, the report indicated.
Deputies made contact with Gibson, who advised that she and the victim had been arguing and that she did throw a can of soda at him. She explained she was “relieving her frustrations” when she threw the can.
She was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail.
