Woman arrested after methamphetamine discovered in her pink purse

Bekki Goodwin

A woman was arrested after methamphetamine was discovered in her pink purse during a traffic stop.

Bekki J. Goodwin, 31, of Eustis, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at 2:35 a.m. Friday when a Lady Lake police officer noticed the vehicle had an expired temporary tag.

The driver gave police permission to search the vehicle and as the search began, Goodwin “appeared very nervous,” according to the arrest report. A search of her pink purse turned up three syringes with dark liquid inside. The liquid tested positive for methamphetamine.

She was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $3,000.
