Woman arrested after kicking deputy during traffic stop at Red Lobster in The Villages

Kiana Breshon Bean

A woman was arrested after allegedly kicking a law enforcement officer during a traffic stop at Red Lobster in The Villages.

Kiana Breshon Bean, 22, of Eustis, had been driving a silver Chrysler 300 at 11:25 a.m. Monday on County Road 466, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She was pulled over when a deputy determined she was wanted on a Lake County warrant.

When the deputy approached Bean’s vehicle, the “strong odor of marijuana” was detected.

After being placed in the back seat of a patrol vehicle, Bean laid on her right side and began to kick the deputy in the chest with her left foot. Bean was then placed under arrest for battery on a law enforcement officer. When the deputy attempted to retrieve Bean’s cell phone and car keys out of her hands while she was in the back of the patrol vehicle, she began to kick again.

A search of her vehicle turned up two bags of marijuana.

She was taken into custody on charges of battery on a law enforcement office and possession of marijuana.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $6,000 bond.
