A woman was arrested after the fraudulent return of a coffeemaker at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza.
Andrea Belinda Gadson, 47, of Wildwood, entered the store at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, went to the kitchen wares aisle and removed a coffeemaker from the shelf, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
She bypassed all points of sale and went to the customer service department where she returned the coffeemaker in exchange for a $49.88 gift card.
She was arrested on a charge of petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
