A 30-year-old Oxford woman is facing a felony degree of grand theft after pawning a weed eater that belonged to her father.

Kathryn Marie Gill was taken into custody Friday by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies. She and her boyfriend had moved in Jan. 4 with her father and he reported that his weed eater and laptop had gone missing. He has since asked them to move out.

It was determined that Gill had pawned the weed eater at Value Pawn in Leesburg.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
