Woman arrested after allegedly attacking intoxicated boyfriend who woke her up

A woman was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly attacking her intoxicated boyfriend who woke her up.

Brianna Nicole Adams, 24, was arrested at 8:31 a.m. Tuesday at the home at 116 Woodlane Ave. which she has shared for one week with her boyfriend, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The boyfriend, who was intoxicated, claimed Adams had struck him with a vacuum cleaner handle. Adams said her boyfriend had been “yelling around the house” while she was trying to sleep.

She was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where she was initially held without bond.
