William H. Reinecke Jr., of The Villages, FL, a retired Navy Veteran, a Field Services Manager from AT&T as well as a long-term Fire Chief with The Fallston Volunteer Fire Company passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2018 after a short-term battle with Cancer. He was 79. Will, a dearly beloved Husband, Father, Pop- Pop, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Mentor and a member of the esteemed Maryland State Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame.
Will is survived by his wife Janet of 11 years. He is survived by the children and grandchildren of his beloved deceased wife of 35 years, Connie Irene. His sons William H. Reinecke III his wife Stacy, and Randy Reinecke. A Pop-Pop to Amanda Reinecke, Rachel Reinecke, Justin Reinecke, Garrett Reinecke, Luke Reinecke, and William Henry Reinecke IV (Henry). His Sisters Debbie Nickles , Joyce Keefer (deceased) his nieces, Tammy Yurek, Laura Lintz, Joyce Pitt, and Amy DePasquale and his nephews David Keefer and Chip Nickoles.
Will served very proudly with the United States Navy from 1956 – 1960 with his final assignment in Naval Intelligence. After a stint as a paid firefighter with the Sparrows Point Fire Department in Dundalk, Maryland, he went on to work with what would become his career with AT&T. In 1977 Will became a member of the Fallston Volunteer Fire Company in Harford County, Maryland. It is here Will found his very meaning and purposeful calling. He ascended through the ranks and became Chief of the Department. During his tenure, he received many accolades that included Hall of Fame induction to the Harford-Cecil Fireman’s Association as well as the Maryland State Fireman’s Association.
In 1999 after the death of his wife Connie, Will relocated to The Villages where he rediscovered his youth. A very avid pickleball and softball player, he also dabbled with golf – although according to his close friends, this at times a very dangerous endeavor. A chance meeting at Katie Belle’s during line dancing changed the direction for the remainder of his life. It is here Will met his Wife, Janet. They spent the past twelve years traveling, playing sports, and many hours of special socializing.
Will lived life to the fullest and was fun at it.

In Florida visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel, Wildwood. In Maryland visitation will be 3 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Fallston Fire Department Hall with a funeral service at 11 a.m., Wednesday in the hall and interment following in Highview Memorial Gardens.
