Will Villagers end up paying the freight?

To the Editor:

It seems that Sumter County is eliminating the wall between The Villages firefighting network and the remaining Sumter Country network.  I assume the taxes and funding paid by residents of The Villages for our current firefighting network will now be combined with the taxes and funding paid by Sumter County residences not part of The Villages.
Can some disinterested third party provide information to Villages-News.com on the current taxes and funding for these two networks and the likely future taxes and funding when these two networks become one?
I am curious if this move by Sumter County will result in any disproportional tax and funding consequences for The Villages residents
