Will Trump ever be held accountable?

To the Editor:

Is the Trump administration the most corrupt in American history? It sure looks like it’s going down that road.
It was no accident that when he ran for president, the people who joined him were grifters, liars and crooks. Manafort, Flynn, Gates, his personal lawyer, Cohen, his own family members, even Trump himself, to name a few. These were the kind of operators Trump has attracted all his life. Honest, upright people with a deep respect for the law don’t go work for Donald Trump.
Five have already been found guilty on numerous charges from tax fraud, and campaign finance violations, to money laundering. Trump himself has refused to divest his business interests, potential emoluments violations, interfering with the Mueller investigation and cabinet members resigning for various misdeeds. Trump himself has set the tone for all of this, he encourages it. Those loyal to him are not unlike him and tend to believe what they want regardless of facts.
What does all of this say about our country? What does this say about those who elected him to be the leader of our country? Will he ever be held accountable?
