Wildwood teen arrested with marijuana

A Wildwood teen was arrested after she was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Dakota Marie Knighten, 19, was walking on County Road 476 on Thursday when she was approached by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy investigating a report of a teen with alcohol.

Knighten was carrying a tan purse and consented to a search. The deputy located marijuana wrapped in a plastic bag, as well as two blue plastic straws with the residue of methamphetamine.

She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $2,000.
