Eric Eugene Mobley

A Wildwood man was arrested after marijuana and Oxycodone were found in his vehicle.

Eric Eugene Mobley, 23, had been in a car at about 9 p.m. Wednesday which had been backed into a parking place at 205 Jackson St. with only his sidelights illuminated. The engine was running.

A “sizable, unruly crowd” had gathered around the vehicle and narcotics were in “plain view,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

As Mobley opened the car door, the smell of marijuana was detected.

Mobley admitted he had a joint in the ashtray and several Oxycodone pills for which he did not have a prescription.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $3,000 bond.
