Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony set Thursday at Veterans Memorial Park

The Veterans Memorial Park of The Villages will celebrate Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29.

The speaker will be John Thomstatter, director of the Vietnam Veterans. He will be speaking on the Wall of Faces and the building of a museum on the grounds of the Vietnam Memorial with which he is involved. The VMP Honor Guard will take part in the program. Musical selections will be presented by singer Leo Brown.

Gary Kadow will speak about the tree planted in honor of the founder of the Villages Honor Flight. The Memorial Park is located in Spanish Springs by Lake Mira Mar between Paige Place and the golf cart bridge over U.S. Hwy. 27/441. Those attending are encouraged to bring a chair for their comfort. No dogs are allowed in the park.
