We need to protect our environment

To the Editor:

We have learned that we can no longer rely upon China to process our plastic and paper waste.
Therefore, we need:
1) a serious ban of polystyrene foam containers;
2) a beverage container deposit program,
3) a program for composting of food and yard waste, and
4) new legislators who will help us to acquire what our environment needs…….now!
