A resident of Water Oak in Lady Lake reported a fraudulent credit card had been opened up under his name.
The 77-year-old resident of East Norman Street on July 5 went to the Lady Lake Police Department to report the fraudulent activity.
The man said that on July 3 he received a letter from Bank of America indicating the credit card had been opened under his name and the letter provided the last four numbers of the credit card, according to an incident report from the police department. He said he has never applied for a credit card through Bank of America.
The man told police he did not suffer a financial loss.
