Water Oak home rented through Airbnb left in ’deplorable’ condition

A Water Oak home rented out through Airbnb was left in “deplorable” condition.

The owner of the home located on Evergreen Lane contacted Lady Lake police earlier this week and reported she had rented her home to a woman from Feb. 25 through March 4 through the online service.

After the renter left, the owner found the home in “deplorable” condition, according to the incident report.

Missing from the home were 12 Tommy Hilfiger towels, 12 hand towels, 12 washcloths and two children’s dinner plates. There were also 10 broken hangers and three damaged tennis balls.
