Walter ‘Scott’ McIntosh

Walter “Scott” McIntosh, Jr., age 93, of The Villages, FL, died March 4, 2018. While originally from Hardinsburg, Indiana, he moved to The Villages in 2003 from the Houston, Texas area.

After serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. (Pacific Theatre, WWII), he graduated from Purdue University with an Electrical Engineering degree. Scott was a 28 year employee of General Electric Company serving in several management positions throughout the U.S. and retired form his final position of Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of a GE subsidiary in the U.K.

He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Elk Society, and Rotary. He was also a former golfer (avid), who scored 5 “holes in one” during his lifetime!

Survivors include wife Susie; sons Walter III and John; daughter Mary; step-daughters Corey Fisher and Stacey Guynes, and step-son Steven Armstrong. Also, granddaughter Sara Alvaro and great-grandson Simon Alvaro.

Private interment and graveside services (with military honors) will be held in Houston at a time convenient for the family.

In lieu of flowers, consider remembering our armed forces (possibly “Wounded Warriors”) with something extra on their day in November (if only a prayer or a salute).
