Villages offers update on status of several golf courses

As Villages golf officials prepare to reopen Hacienda Hills on Thursday and Silver Lake on Monday, some executive courses will be closing for needed maintenance.

This week, Belmont, Bogart, Churchill, Heron and Truman will experience closures for aeration. Amberwood and Oakleigh are closed for greens recovery. Those courses are undergoing heavy aeration and are being used to assist with irrigation water management needs.

The Silver Lake Executive Practice Green and Tee facility installation continues to stay on track and is nearing completion. This course will remain closed this week.

Hawkes Bay renovations are running about two weeks behind schedule. But contractors continue to work through the inclement weather and are striving to get back on track.

Renovations to the greens at Bogart holes 7 and 8 have been completed and on time. The two holes will have temporary greens in place and will reopen to a full 9-hole course.
