Villages Golf Cars display allowed to remain at Rohan Recreation Center

A Villages Golf Cars display will be allowed to remain at Rohan Recreation Center.

Project Wide Advisory Committee members on Monday revisited a discussion that began in July.

The original discussion was prompted by Villages Golf Cars’ desire to put a newer model golf cart on display at the recreation center. The District inherited the display when the amenities south of County Road 466A were purchased from the Developer.

A golf cart will remain on display at the Rohan Recreation Center.

Some PWAC members last month objected to the display as “free advertising.”

Since that time, some PWAC members went to Rohan Recreation Center for a second look. There are other items on display there, such as a Katie Belle’s sign, that are nothing more than “life in The Villages,” some members said.

PWAC concluded the golf cart can stay, but will not be replaced.
