Villages entertainers to lend their talents to Sunday fundraiser for Wildwood Soup Kitchen

Six years ago, Sue Schuler decided it was time to donate her talent to help others.

And the “Songs For the Soul” Christian concert series was born in the old Church on the Square.

“Songs For the Soul 6” will be held Sunday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at Savannah Center to benefit the Wildwood Soup Kitchen.

Beloved former Villager Marge Blakely played grandma as Sue Schuler and the kids sang “Jesus Loves Me” from a previous “Songs For the Soul.”

“I wanted to give something back and so we started this concert series,” said Schuler, a popular performer in The Villages. “Everything from this concert is donated to the Wildwood Soup Kitchen.”

Those attending may donate money and non-perishable food items at the door.

Performers include: Jan Lavin, E. Mani Cadet and Donna Francis. The Aloha ‘O Ka Hula Dance Troupe will perform, along with Dance Synergy.
