Nancy Dias has been selected to show her work in the 2018 Florida Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition.
The exhibit will be from Sept. 7 to Oct. 26 at the Art Center Manatee in Bradenton.
This is the seventh time Dias has been recognized by the Florida Watercolor Society, twice in the annual exhibition and five times in the online show, once as a first-place winner. She has earned two of the three credits needed to achieve signature status in that organization.
The Florida Watercolor Society is one of the largest watercolor societies in the country. A Florida Watercolor Society exhibition is held in one of the state’s most prestigious galleries or museums annually. Florida artists have an opportunity at this time to exhibit with their fellow watercolorists from around the state. A nationally known water media expert is asked to jury and judge the show and conduct an educational workshop. The exhibition is recognized as one of the top water media exhibits in the country.
Dias has earned numerous accolades in The Villages art scene, with her works on permanent display at Fenney Recreation Center, the Rohan Recreation Center’s 8 x 7 mural and three paintings in The Villages Charter Schools.
She is past president of The Villages Art League and past vice president of The Villages Visual Arts Association.
