Richard Scott Sunden Jr., grandson of Villagers June and Frank Truglio, recently graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.
Sunden plans to attend the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College to major in business. He is following in the footsteps of his father, Richard Sr., and his older sister, Paige, who is starting her senior year this fall.
Sunden served as the captain of his high school’s rowing team and recently completed the requirements to become an Eagle Scout. In his spare time, he’s working on restoring a 1973 BMW 2002tii.
“My wife, June, and I are very proud of the handsome, kind, generous and intelligent young man he has become,” said Frank Truglio, of the Village of Alhambra.
Established in 1863, Boston College is a private Jesuit Catholic research university located in Chestnut Hill, Mass. It sits on 340 acres located about six miles from downtown Boston and boasts 14,400 students.
The Wallace E. Carroll School of Management serves 2,236 undergraduate students. Bloomberg Businessweek rated it as the third best business school in the country. And 83 percent of graduating seniors seeking employment in the class of 2017 were hired within three months of earning their degrees.
Do you have someone special in your family who’s graduating this year? If so, we’d love to hear about it. Please send details and a photo www.villages-news/contact-us.
