Villager faithfully decorates bench in honor of two children she lost

Penny Rawles gets a jump on embellishing “her” bench with Fourth of July decorations near the pool in the Village of Bonita.

A plaque on the bench commemorates the memory of her children, Brandon Brooks and Catlin Rawles. Both passed away prematurely.

“I can see the bench from my home. This is where I go to remember them,” she said. “I decorate the bench for all the holidays.”
