Villager arrested after driving Lincoln Town Car into center of roundabout on Buena Vista Boulevard

A Villager was arrested after driving his Lincoln Town Car into the center of roundabout on Buena Vista Boulevard.

William Patrick Griffin, 74, who lives in the Rainey Villas, had been driving the green 1997 Lincoln Town Car at 11:43 p.m. Saturday and attempting to negotiate the roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Palmer Way, according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

His vehicle traveled into the median of the roundabout, damaging sprinkler equipment and landscaping.

He was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $1,000 bond.
