Villager appointed to seat on Sumter County School Board

Villager Sally Moss has been appointed to a seat on the Sumter County School Board.

Gov. Rick Scott named Moss to the seat vacated by the death on Feb. 21 of fellow Villager Haydn Evans. Her term runs through Nov. 13.

Moss, 69, also serves as chairman of the Community Development District 6 Board of Supervisors. She is running for re-election to the CDD 6 Board.

The school board seat is a paid position with members earning about $32,000 annually.
