Village of Virginia Trace man’s cat bites veterinary technician

A Village of Virginia Trace man’s cat bit a veterinary technician Tuesday at the The Village Veterinarian.

The Villager had taken his 12-year-old Himalayan cat to the veterinarian, as it had not eaten in 10 days and was very sick, according to an incident report from Lady Lake Animal Control.

A technician had been performing a blood draw on the cat when it bit the technician on her thumb. The bite went through her fingernail.

The cat, which was euthanized, had been properly vaccinated.
