Village of Duval woman arrested after bank manager calls police after witnessing attack

Vicky Rahe

A Village of Duval woman was arrested after a bank manager called police after witnessing the woman attack her husband.

The couple shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday entered the Wells Fargo at Pinellas Plaza.

Vicky Rahe, 67, was “very angry” and struck her husband “extremely hard in the back,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. As the couple was leaving the bank, Rahe struck her husband twice more in the back.

The bank manager contacted police and described what had happened.

Police went to Rahe’s home at 1195 Westmoreland Loop. She was “extremely uncooperative,” yelled at the officer and said he needed a warrant. The officer contacted the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

As the officer waited for a deputy to arrive, Rahe’s husband pulled up in a golf cart. He confirmed that Rahe struck him “out of anger.” When Rahe spotted her husband speaking to the police officer, she ran out of the house and began “screaming” at the police officer.

“It was very clear that the victim was afraid of the suspect and that he was afraid to speak in front of her,” the police officer wrote in his report.

Rahe was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of crimes against a person.

She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center where she was initially held without bond.
