Village Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution participates in Wreaths across America

The Village Chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution on Saturday participated in Wreaths Across America at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg.

They placed 47 wreaths on the graves of Spanish-American and World War I veterans.

Other participants were American Legion Post 347, AmVets Post 2006, JROTC, Leesburg High School and Lake County Eagles Aerie 4273.

The Village Chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, volunteers carry out coordinated wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.

More than 1 million wreathes were laid as part of the effort.
