Van H. White

Van H. White

Van H. White passed away Monday April 16, 2018 at Monroe Regional Hospital in Ocala, FL. Van was born November 21, 1935 in Clarksburg, MO to C. J. and Eva (Van Stratten) White.  He grew up in Plattsmouth, NE where he received his education graduating from high school in 1954.

He was united in marriage to Bette (Janecek) White on January 14, 1955.  He began his work career at Allied Chemical in LaPlatte, NE and retired as Sales Manager at Kelly Supply Co. Grand Island, NE in 2000.  At that time the Whites sold their home in Nebraska and moved to The Villages.

Van is survived by his wife Bette, three children:  Mark (Kelly) of Oklawaha, FL, John (Debbie) of Grand Island, NE and Karin Magers (Larry) of Bogart, GA, brothers:  C. Jerry White, Lincoln, NE, Glenn, St. Pete’s Beach, FL and William, Grand Island, NE, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Geraldine Marshall and Darlene Rhoden.

His main hobbies were making stained glass pieces and giving them to family and friends and watching Nebraska football.
