Two arrested after deputies find heroin, other drugs in Wildwood home’s garage

Jorge Jose Casal

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men Tuesday night after finding a variety of illegal drugs in the garage of a Wildwood home.

Deputies from the sheriff’s Special Investigations Squad had originally gone to the home, located at 3733 County Road 230, to find Jorge Jose Casal, 39, who had an active warrant in a previous case involving the sale and possession of heroin. But while deputies were arresting Casal, they saw drug paraphernalia and what they suspected to be heroin in the garage out in plain sight.

After deputies obtained a search warrant for the garage, they found hypodermic needles with heroin and blood mixed, a hypodermic needle that tested positive for amphetamine, prescription pills (oxycodone and clonazepam), less than 20 grams of marijuana and marijuana seeds. Deputies also found numerous items of drug paraphernalia, including scales, used hypodermic needles, a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamines and other items used to ingest illegal narcotics.

Eldon Wayne Stone

Both Casal and the property’s owner, 58-year-old Eldon Wayne Stone – who also was in the garage when deputies arrived – were arrested and transported to the Sumter County Detention Center.

Casal was charged with possession of heroin, oxycodone, amphetamine and marijuana under 20 grams, as well as two counts of possession of drug equipment. He was held without bond.

Stone was charged with possession of heroin, amphetamine, clonazepam and marijuana under 20 grams, as well as two counts of possession of drug equipment and keeping or maintaining a drug shop/residence. He was held on $12,000 bond.
