Trio of Olympians from Ocala to be honored in event at town’s historic downtown square

A trio of Olympians from Ocala will be honored in an event next month at the town’s historic downtown square.

Ocala’s Olympians will be honored in an event April 6.

Mayor Kent Guinn will host a welcome home celebration at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6 for the three athletes who recently competed in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games. The event will honor speed skaters Joey Mantia, Erin Jackson, and Bronze Medalist Brittany Bowe. In recognition of their accomplishments, Mayor Guinn will present each with a key to the city. This event will be held during the City of Ocala’s First Friday Art Walk.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
