A resident’s call for a traffic light at the entrance to the Village of Glenbrook resulted in some advice from Community Development District 3 supervisors.
Wait.
A resident spoke to the board Friday morning and complained that “you have to be a NASCAR driver” to safely navigate the intersection of Talley Ridge Drive and Buena Vista Boulevard at the entrance to Glenbrook.
Putting a stoplight there would be a Sumter County decision, District Manager Janet Tutt pointed out.
CDD 3 Supervisor Gail Lazenby said that in the 13 years he has been on the board, there have been two traffic studies at that location.
The last study was done in the summer.
“If we had a February study, we might have a shot at getting that light,” Lazenby said.
Lazenby and CDD 3 Chairman Bill Ray both encouraged the resident to take his plea to Sumter County, but to wait a couple of months.
