Dr. Thomas McVay Kramer, 83, of The Villages, FL, (formerly of Dayton, Ohio) died June 14, 2017, after a long illness.

He was born December 4, 1933, in Oakland, CA, the son of Peter J. and Dorothy McVay Kramer.

He served in the Army, played college and professional football and was an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sport’s Medicine. He spent many years on the sidelines as team physician for the University of Dayton’s football team. He is a member of Open Bible Lutheran Church.

Dr. Kramer is survived by his wife Patricia Kramer, of The Villages; son, Kyle M. (Christine) Kramer of Spring Valley. OH; daughter, Kara (Garry) Day of Centerville, OH; two-step-sons, Ray G. (Audra) McIntire and Mark E. McIntire, both of Beavercreek, OH and four grandchildren, Colton Thomas Day, Carter Day, McKenna Kramer and Kalli Kramer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017, in Open Bible Lutheran Church 4671 Bellwether Lane, Oxford, FL at 11 a.m. A gathering will be held at the church prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Dayton, Ohio.
