The Villages Pops Chorus donates money to All One Family, SoZo Kids Club of The Village

The Villages Pops Chorus has donated more than $85,000 to charity during the past four years – and this month the group kept on giving.

The latest donations came in May when the Pops Chorus presented two more checks.
Director Bill Davis said the group presented a $3,500 check to All One Family Inc. and a matching donation to the SoZo Kids Club of The Villages.

The money was raised from proceeds of the Pops Chorus’ annual Spring Concert at North Lake Presbyterian Church, which also received a donation from the singing group.

The Pops Chorus has about 130 members, and in addition to singing, Davis said, “The best thing we do is raise money for charity.”

The group’s next concert is July 30 at North Lake Presbyterian Church (975 Rolling Acres Road in Lady Lake) and is called “Listen to the Music.” Money raised from that event will be donated to Villagers for Veterans and New Vision for Independence.
