Teenager arrested after alleged attack on mother at their home in Villages of Parkwood

A teenager was arrested after an alleged attack on his mother Wednesday afternoon in the Villages of Parkwood.

Nathaniel Kelly Gordon, 18, was taken into custody after he physically battered his mother while attempting to take her purse away from her, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He was attempting to take a cell phone from the purse. During the struggle, he caused abrasions to her right forearm, the arrest report indicated.

Gordon also threw a Bose speaker at her, pulling it from the wall.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $200 bond.
