An arrest has been made in the North Roads Apartment shooting on Jan. 25 in Ocala.
Jaquez Barr, 21 was detained in Deland on warrant for his arrest. He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was one of the three people who sustained gunshot wounds in the North Roads Apartment shooting. He was being held at the Volusia County Jail.
On Jan. 25, around 6:15 p.m. OPD responded to the scene of a shooting that occurred at 10 NW 21st Place. Multiple people fired weapons during an altercation, resulting in three people being shot. One of the victims, 22-year-old Kerrian Dukes, was pronounced dead at a local hospital that evening.
The incident remains under investigation.
